Arch of Augustus
The Arch of Augustus, the symbol of the city of Fano, represents one of the main entrances to the city since Roman times. Built at the point where the Flaminia road met the decumanus maximus, it is one of the best-preserved Roman monuments. It still marks the monumental entrance to Fano’s historic center.
